WE RAISE UP YOUNG LEADERS.

Corazón Community Services is committed to educating young leaders and empowering the Cicero community through positive, enriching youth and after-school programming.

*Due to COVID-19, youth programming is offered both in person and virtually via Zoom.


Teen R.E.A.C.H is an academic afterschool program whose efforts are dedicated towards inspiring cultural awareness, develop and strengthen mentoring & leadership skills, while engaging in life skills activities and promoting parent involvement.

The Teen R.E.A.C.H program runs out of Unity Junior High and serves 7th & 8th graders.

Stay in School Initiative works with the Morton Freshman Center and Morton East students; there are 55 students that attend regular workshops and volunteer opportunities. Out of the 55 students, 12 youth are selected to participate in monthly workshops with Exelon and United Way. These workshops focus on team building, skill building, networking and personal strength recognition. The 12 youth will have the opportunity to interview for paid internships at and .

PUPI: This group hosts monthly workshops for all community parents. The workshops range in topics, from health, to safety, to parent engagement. Workshops are a direct reflection of what parents want to learn about. The parents of youth participants in Teen R.E.A.C.H can participate in a series of 6 parenting workshops during the school year involvement.

This program runs out of Unity Junior High and serves 7th & 8th graders.
